The Secure File Transfer System is designed for organizations that need to securely share
data with their network of customers and vendors.
Files can be sent and viewed only by users who have been given access
to one or more Shared Inboxes by the system administrator. One unique Shared Inbox is typically set up
by the administrator for each individual customer or vendor who has access to the system.
When initially setting up the system and whenever else as new needs arise,
the system administrator creates one or more Shared Inboxes.
When a file is added into the system, it is delivered to one or more Shared Inboxes:
Each Shared Inbox has a number of key settings:
-
File Retention - You can set how long you would like to store files in the
Shared Inbox on the server. When the expiration date that
you set has passed for a file, the file will be automatically deleted from the system by a
scheduled process.
-
Maximum File Send Size - You can set the maximum individual file send size and the maximum size of
the total send for the Shared Inbox. These settings allow you to control the use of server resources.
-
File Encryption - You can set the level of encryption used to encrypt the files
that are stored on the server. The system uses AES encryption
with 128 or 256 bit keys. (While files are in transit, they are protected by SSL
encryption.)
You can configure notification emails for each Shared Inbox.
You can add the email addresses of users who have access to the Shared Inbox to the list of people who will
be informed when new files have been delivered into the Shared Inbox:
